Saturation in Action
Henry’s Law
This animation shows gas dissolving into a liquid. You can increase the pressure and observe how gas density rises due to compression, causing gas to dissolve into the liquid until pressure equilibrium is reached. Using the speed control, you can watch this process in accelerated form.
The simulation aims to equalize the visual density (particles per area) between the gas and liquid phases at equilibrium. The dots do not represent individual molecules, but rather proportions of partial pressure. This simplification is not physically exact, but it helps illustrate the concepts of saturation and Henry’s Law.
